Registration for 2024-2025 Season is Now Open for RETURNING PLAYERS.
NEW PLAYERS can start registering July 6, 2024.

The Senior program will be for players born in 2009 to 2013 (Age 11 to 15 years).  
  
The Junior program will be for players born in 2013 to 2019 (Age 5 to 11 years).

There is NO body checking in either league and both use a buzzer for line changes. 
 
Players may be moved between leagues if their skill level is better suited to the other program.

**IMPORTANT for families NEW to Northwood Only** 
 If your child was registered with another association under Hockey Canada at any time in the past (not including Grandview or Current River Mighty Mites), you MUST apply for a transfer prior to registration with Northwood Hockey League. Other local associations include Elks, KC, Neebing, NorWest, Port Arthur Minor, Westfort and Thunder Bay Minor. Please click  hereto access the online transfer request form. Once we have the information, we will submit a request to Hockey Canada and advise you via the email you provide when you are clear to register. This normally has a very quick turnaround of 2 or 3 days.

FAQ: Here are the questions people new to the league ask most often. 
 
How often do the kids play? 
Between 2 and 3 times a week. We take breaks at Christmas, Family Day Weekend and wrap up before the March Break. 
 
What days of the week do the kids play? 
Games are on Saturdays (between 2pm and 6pm) and Sundays (between noon and 3pm) at the Fort William Gardens or Current River Arena. Practices are Thursdays and Fridays at Delaney between 5pm and 7pm. You won't be scheduled for all of these times. Seniors will also have games on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm. 
 
 
What is the cost to register? 
$500 per child. There are no additional team fees and no extra practice fees. Ask other leagues about these costs when making your decision. 
 
How can I pay my registration fee? 
E-transfer is the preferred method, but we can also accept cash and cheques and credit card (extra processing fee applies).

Please write name of child/children in comment section. 
 
When are the registration fees due? 
A $200 deposit is due September 1st, 2024, and the balance is due by October 31st, 2024.

If you have been approved for assistance with registration fees from Pro Kids or any other program, you MUST email us with this information at treasurer@northwoodhl.ca
These spots are limited and if we are not informed in advance, your spot may not be available.
